Brief Biography of the Speaker:
Beny Neta received his B.Sc. in 1967 from Tel-Aviv University, Israel and
his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics in 1977 from Carnegie-Mellon University,
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1984 he was awarded a National Research Council
Senior research Associate. Since 1985 he has been a professor with the
Department of Applied Mathematics at the Naval Postgraduate School in
Monterey, California. He was an advisor for the National Research Council
until 2008. He has published more than 75 journal papers and several edited
books. Current research focuses on high order non reflecting boundary
conditions. He is a member of the New York Academy of Sciences and associate
fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and astronautics (AIAA).
