Brief Biography of the Organizers:
Ancuta Rotaru was born at February 5th, 1962 in Iasi, Romania. She is Romanian citizen. She graduated the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Gheorghe Asachi Technical University - Iasi (Romania), in 1986. Her Ph.D. was in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering and Foundations, in 1997, at the Gheorghe Asachi Technical University - Iasi (Romania). She is now associate professor at Infrastructure for Transportations and Foundations at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Gheorghe Asachi Technical University - Iasi (Romania).
Her research and teaching activities (1992-2010) cover an extended area: Geotechnical Engineering, Landslides, Soil Mechanics, Stability of Natural and Reinforced Slopes, Engineering Geology, Geoenvironmental, Environmental Constructions, Foundations, Soil Remediation.
She is author/co-author of more than 80 published papers and 6 books in this field.
She has an interesting experience in national projects/ programs (organized by CNCSIS) as general manager (5) and as assistant manager.
