(CHAIR: Prof. Lotfi A. Zadeh, Professor in the
Graduate School, Computer Science Division Department of Electrical Engineering
and Computer Sciences, University of California, Berkeley, CA 94720 -1776,
Director, Berkeley Initiative in Soft Computing (BISC), USA)
were held in Miami from April 21-23, 2004 with great success.
It was a cross-disciplinary multiconference of our society with several new
ideas, important contributions and high level discussions among famous
scientists from all over the world.
The father and creator of Fuzzy Logic, Fuzzy Systems' Science and
Technology, Prof. Lotfi Zadeh, Life Fellow member of WSEAS (from the conference
of 2002 in Mexico) was for third time honorary personality in a WSEAS
Conference. The previous two ones were in Athens in 1999 and in Cancun in 2002.
Prof. Zadeh presented an impressive plenary lecture

The best
papers (after strict selection) were also published in the WSEAS Trans. on
SYSTEMS, Issue 2, Vol. 3, April 2004. This great special issue will be a
valuable source of knowledge and inspiration for future research in every branch
of computational intelligence.
An excellent banquet with a richest buffet and a great Polynesian Show
with many dancers and wizards as well as many wonderful excursion in Orlando
and Florida Keys completed the success of the social part of this
great WSEAS multiconference.
